How to tie a loop knot - Fishing Tutorial

So my first tutorial video is up and this one is a fishing tutorial on how to tie a loop in the line. This knot can also be used for tying simple loops in strings etc. as well. The purpose for this post is to show you simple images for the knot as well which are a bit easier to see (my camera skills were not great in the video. If you need to see the video you can find it here.

Begin by folding the line over itself to form an untied loop. Next you must fold this back over to create a second loop, this may need to be fairly large so you can easily thread the first loop through. Now thread the first loop through the second loop twice as shown in the image. It is important to do this twice because once makes the loop finish at a right-angle to the rest of the line. All you do now is pull on both ends and the knot should tighten leaving a result like the second image shown.

Keep practicing and you should find it gets much easier. Any requests please leave in the comments box here or on the video. You can also tweet me @Paftiking.
